Katogi & Strofilia SA is extremely active in various aspects of culture. Its most significant initiatives of recent years include:
- Issuing a series of collectors' wines with labels by leading Greek artists including, to date: Manolis Zacharioudakis, Kostas Paniaras, Pavlos Samios and Takis Stefanou (starting 1996).
- Introducing a policy of giving corporate gifts of an artistic nature commissioned, to date, from: Katerina Dellaporta, Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki, Pavlos Samios, Manolis Charos and Youla Hatzigeorgiou (starting 1996).
- Commissioning Kornelios Grammenos to create an intervention / installation for the remodelling of the company's industrial premises in Anavyssos (2003).
- Staging a thematic exhibition entitled “On wine” in the remodelled Anavyssos winery with original works created especially for the show by: Dimitris Antonitsis, Manolis Zacharioudakis, Rika Krithara, Michalis Lagouvardos, Andreas Savvas, Pavlos Samios, Angelos Skourtis, Manolis Charos and Youla Hatzigeorgiou. The show was curated by Olga Daniilopoulou (2004).
- Participating in the international art event “To Schiachtro” [the scarecrow] hosted by the E. Averoff gallery, granting permission for fourteen sculptures and installations (by Alexandros Apostolidis, Thomas Eller, Michalis Katzourakis, Henry Krokatsis, Double O, Zafos Xagoraris, Nicola Oxley, David Wilkinson, Andreas Savvas, Kyrillos Sarris, Danae Stratou, Pantelis Handris, Nikos Haralambidis and Panos Haralambou) to be installed in the Agios Nikolaos Monastery vineyard (2006).
- Installing a permanent exhibition of works by Greek artists in the new Katogi Averoff hotel-winery in Metsovo (2007).
- Creating a permanent Virtual/Visual Guided Tour installation in the visitable parts of the Metsovo winery with video, sound and other installations as well as artistic interventions. The Tour was designed and coordinated by Mary Koumantaropoulou (architect). The video projections are the work of Nounou Alexopoulos (multimedia director), Alexandros Fasois (director / musician) and Maria Stefosi (graphic designer / photographer) (starting 2008).
- Participating in “The portrait of a museum”, an exhibition staged by the E. Averoff gallery, with two installations in the Metsovo winery by Konstantinos Patsios and Savvas Mylonas respectively plus a dance event in the winery cellar featuring the Choreftes contemporary dance company (2008).
- Sponsoring cultural organizations active in literature, the theatre and the visual arts in Greece and internationally (the National Theatre of Greece, Odos Kykladon Theatre and Amore Theatre; Diavazo and Enteuktirio, literary journals; events at the Tellogleion Foundation; openings at the Benaki Museum; solo exhibitions by various artists, book presentations etc.).
- Permanent sponsor of the E. Averoff Gallery. The company funds the staging of exhibitions as well as assisting with the gallery's daily operation through the provision of secretarial and accounting support (since 1988).
