Katogi & Strofilia SA has developed a wide range of initiatives relating to the local community of which it forms part. For instance, the company:

• participates in the activities of local NGOs, in recognition of which it received an award from “Koinoniki Stirixi” [Social support] in 2008.organizes public
• educational seminars on vine growing and wine making at its Strofilia-Anavyssos winery.
• regularly sponsors cultural and other events staged by the Palaia Fokaia village council and the municipality of Metsovo.
• purchased land (Anavyssos) around a Geometric period cemetery (7th c. BC) with a view to conserving and raising awareness of the site.
